I am so grateful to the Lord for healing my sister's heart! He is so amazing and mighty...
Mandy had not been feeling well for quite a few weeks... We all thought it was a thyroid issue but when the tests came back that her thyroid was fine, we knew that something was wrong. The doctor who was looking at all the symptoms that Mandy had and it not being a thyroid problem, decided that she needed to be admitted to the hospital immediately. They checked her pulse and her heart was all over the place.. It was going 140 beats per minute then down to 109 then up again to 135.. So, she had to stay overnight in the hospital. She had ultrasounds, x-rays and blood work. When the doctor looked at the x-ray, he was gravely concerned. He told Mandy and Mom that Mandy's heart was far too small but scheduled for a second opinion. When the second doctor looked at the x-ray, he came in crying and said that he too thought it was far too small and that we should expect the worse! Oh, how are hearts were broken! I never even had the thought that I would ever lose Mandy in the near future! I cried and asked the Lord to spare her life to us if it was His will. But, if He did want her home, to help me remeber that He knows best and if it was to happen that He would comfort our hearts..
Back home in the states, word spread quickly about Mandy's illness. People where praying across the U.S and Belize.. Friends of friends, whole churches and family... All came together in prayer for Mandy's healing.
The next day, the heart specialist came in to give Mandy an Echo cardiogram.. As he was looking at her heart, he said, "Wow, I haven't seem such a perfectly formed heart in a long time.. It is perfectly normal and fine." Praise the Lord! Mandy was healed because the day before, her heart was too small and now it is fine! How grateful we are to the Lord and friends who prayed.
Please continue to pray as Mandy still is very weak and tired.. She has some king of infection which we do not yet know what is causing it. I will be keeping everyone posted. <3 Ashley
